Back from the other side

Graduation was a success and Europe was fabulous! Ann Field, Art Center’s Illustration Department chair, led us through a whirlwind tour of a variety of London’s art and illustration scene(s).  To name a few, we went to Sir Peter Blake’s studio (a major highlight for me!),  the adorable Rob Ryan’s studio (I LOVE this guy’s work), Peepshow (collective), Le Gun (collective/magazine), Container (collective), White Cube Gallery, London Art Projects, and many, many others.  Everyone was so warm and loving, it was impossible to not fall in love with London and to want to cuddle up with all the great talents which are there.  We also visited the Darwin exhibit at the natural history museum, which was super neat for me, as I’m always a sucker for pickled animals. Just kidding, it was really sad, but fascinating!

A couple of us continued on to Paris for a coupla days, which was magical, to say the least. We were there for May Day, one of France’s lovely holidays and we even got to sort of march along with some of the unions. It was really exciting! Vive La France! Power to the people.

Anyways, here are a few selected photos…enjoy!
